AZ Media Maven has been fortunate in gaining several new clients who have requested timely blogs about their companies. In developing their content, I found that many of them already had WordPress pages set up under other administrators.
After much gnashing of teeth, I figured out how to transfer a blog from their admin user into my care. WordPress has options for importing a blog, but that wasn’t what I really wanted to do. That option leaves the older blog still in cyberspace but not getting updated — rather like an out-of-date satellite stuck in orbit around the earth.
What I really needed to do was so simple that I am a little embarrassed it took me a while to figure it out.
Moving blogs is pretty easy – just change the users. So I moved from their admin/user to me, and now all blogs I oversee are under my one WordPress log-in. So much more convenient.
Anyone else have a favorite WordPress tip?
